Understanding Navegg

What does Navegg do?

Navegg is the leader and reference of the Latin American market in online audience data, relying on a base of thousands of data collected through anonymous navigation cookies from users with information of interest, purchase intention, behavioral and socio-demographic profile. Navegg infers the online user’s profile according to their online behavior and categorizes them based on gender, age range, interests, among others.

How does Navegg find out the online audience profile?

Navegg collects navigation data on every website that has its technology implemented – a javascript tag. The anonymous data is analyzed and compared to other online users’ online behavior. These users are clustered according to mathematical and statistics’ methods which are based on market studies and research about consumer behavior and trends.

Is the profile of users who use mobile devices (tablet and smartphones) also inferred?

Yes, but the online behavior might vary depending on each device and in this case Navegg will count each device as 1 profile.

Does Navegg sell media?

No. Navegg only does audience segmentation. What does that mean? Navegg collects, processes and organizes online users’ anonymous data to facilitate profile definition and clusterization in order to improve communication with the targeted audience, client relationship and advertising campaigns.

Who uses Navegg’s solutions?

Navegg’s solutions were developed to assist agencies, advertisers, publishers, media outlets and institutional websites.

I want to implement Navegg in multiple websites. Do I need to create multiple accounts?

Regardless of the chosen solution, if you manage multiple websites and want to add Navegg to all of them, you should install an exclusive tag on each one otherwise the data will be combined. You will still be able to access multiple accounts using the same login and password. In order to create multiple accounts you must follow the same process each time and always use the same email to sign up. While creating additional accounts you will see a message saying the email is already being used. Just click on “yes” and continue the process. In case you manage multiple websites of the same company you may use the same tag and create channels for each website in the dashboard. On the other hand if you intend to measure campaigns separately or to display different custom banners in each website, we advise you to create different accounts.

 

What is the difference between Navegg and Google Analytics?

Whereas Google Analytics brings precisely and quantifiable data (conversion rate, bounce rate, pageviews, how many users have come to determined websites, etc), Navegg brings some of these informations but the focus are the audience’s behavior trace as profile, purchase intention, preferences, etc. Learn more about all the information supplied by Navegg here.

Privacy

Is the privacy of online visitors compromised? How does Navegg collect personal data?

No, the data collection is 100% anonymous. The navigation history is saved and all the personal details that can be identified are immediately erased. Navegg only works with non-identifiable data and does not collect identifiable info (ID number, email, address, name, etc.). Privacy is our first value and we assure it throughout our process.

I don’t want Navegg to track my navigation details. How should I proceed?

Methodologies

Navegg’s core lies in understanding the internet user. They are classified in over 1.400 segments. To structure the information in a way to facilitate your understanding, Navegg has different taxonomies: Demographic and Interests, Navegg EveryOne and Navegg EveryBuyer.

The Demographic and Interests data is divided into categories – gender , age, education, social class, marital status, contents of interest, purchase intention, products, brands, occupation, connection type, devices, browsers, operational systems and location (country, city and region ) – and these segments are considered filters to direct a personalized action.

Navegg EveryOne is a methodology based on the internet user’s browsing history and it takes into account consumption behavior, purchase motivations and purchasing power. Navegg EveryOne is divided into eight clusters – Winners, Trendy, Explorers, Emulators, Warriors, Idealists, Conservatives and Laidback – that help to decide the most appropriate message to communicate with each audience.

Navegg EveryBuyer is the methodology that points the distinct profiles in each of the 13 industries – financial services, sports, fashion and beauty, automotive, home-building, electronics and home appliance, real estate, food and beverage, travel and tourism, entertainment, career and education, technology and telecom – and helps to define the target, which makes the campaigns more assertive.

How does it work?

This is a web analytics solution that enables data analysis and on-site activation. It allows you to analyze the audience’s profile, abandonment rate, average ticket and to keep track of the campaign’s attribution and ROI. How can I install it on my website?

The setup is very simple. You just need to copy Navegg’s tag (a javascript line) and paste it on your website’s code. After signing up you on Navegg’s website you will receive an email with further instructions and after the implementation is complete it will take up to 48 hours to see the first data on your dashboard.

What are the features and how do they work?

  • Audience: It provides demographic information such as localization, gender, age, interests, Navegg EveryOne’s cluster, among others.
  • Campaign: It allows you to use only 1 tool to track all your campaigns (display, email marketing, search and social media) and to monitor each transaction done on your website. It will show how many users were reached by the campaigns, conversion rate, average ticket, profit and ROI. The attribution method shows how each campaign influenced on a sale.
  • Funnel: The conversion funnel enables website conversion monitoring. You can associate pages to each funnel stage and keep track of client’s profile in each phase plus the conversion rate. It is also possible to find out the average ticket of your website per client.

 

How does the integration with other platforms work?

How does it work?

After adding Navegg’s tag to your website the traffic will begin to be analyzed and your customers divided into clusters. It will take up to 48 hours until you have the details for the first time – age, gender, localization. You will learn your audience’s interests and it will help you to customize content and another option is to offer advanced customized segmentation for campaigns and re-targeting.

How can I install it on my website?

The setup is very simple. You just need to copy Navegg’s tag (a javascript line) and paste it on your website’s code. After the implementation is done it will take up to 48 hours to see the first data on your dashboard.

What are the features and how do they work?

  • Audience– It provides demographic information such as localization, gender, age, interests, among others.
  • Media Planner– It allows the publisher to simulate a customized audience campaign to find out audience volume and extract the query that will be used in an adserver.
  • Custom – It enables the publisher to use a pixel tag to ‘stamp’ part of their audience that visits a specific page or has an online behavior interesting for the publisher. You can use this resource to do re-targeting and to customize content.
  • Tag Manager– Tool that helps to add and integrate different tags in your website.
  • Audience Kit– You can build the client’s media kit based on the previous month’s results.
  • Retargeting– You can create a customized segment (pixel tag) to share with the advertisers in order to create a list with a specific public for retargeting purpose through a campaign within your website. The users who visit the page will be marked and the information can be used later on to advertise to specific audiences.
